Aetna and Atlanta-based Emory announced plans to form a new accountable care organization. The two organizations have partnered on a patient—centered medical home model since 2011. In a joint statement, the companies said that EHN physicians and Aetna will have joint responsibility for quality, patient satisfaction and costs related to the health care they provide. The agreement is based on a shared savings model

Emory is the largest integrated health system in Georgia, with 1,830 licensed patients beds systemwide. In 2014 it posted $2.7 billion in annual revenue.
