The Illinois Hospital Association and the Metropolitan Chicago Healthcare Council will merge into a single organization. IHA represents more than 200 hospitals and nearly 50 health systems within the state, whereas MCHC represents 150 hospitals and healthcare organizations in the greater Chicago metro area; the two organizations have “significant” overlap in membership.
